Working as a DevOps - Software Engineer for Homedepot, I actively worked in the following tasks: Implemented an observability platform using Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager alerts and dashboards across microservice applications and infrastructure to improve service visibility and incident diagnosis. Design and maintain end-to-end delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate CI/CD workflows, while managing version control and deployment coordination through Git. Implementation of quality and security gates, integrating into the GitHub Actions using SonarQube, Trivy, Snyk, CycloneDX, Dependency-Track to identify code vulnerabilities, open-source supply chain risks early in the SDLC. I orchestrate containerized applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) with a focus on scaling, reliability, and rolling deployments. I worked with CLI for monitoring and debug issues on the deployments, services, secrets, maps and logs. Creation of service accounts to use from the deployment in GCP to grant access into Jfrog, Docker, Git and GitHub actions. I used Prometheus to monitoring and create alerts for endpoints deployed to GKE in GCP, working with the information stored in it I created new Grafana dashboards based for CPU, Mem and response time for microservices. I added new tags in the source code for microservices and retrieve those tags from Grafana to create new dashboads based on those new tags, to monitoring and alerting for any possible issue from the endpoints. I also contribute to backend development with Spring Boot (Java 11/17) with Gradle, building GraphQL endpoints for efficient data retrieval, and support full-stack delivery by deploying React applications to GCP.

Working as a DevOps – Application Developer for Homedepot, I actively participate in the following tasks: I focus on automating infrastructure and application workflows across hybrid environments—using Ansible to execute parallel commands on Linux and Windows servers. I worked in the implementation and maintaining of Concourse pipelines to deploy micro services to Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) on premise in the HomeDepot severs. I made the migration process from Concourse pipelines to GitHub Actions pipelines from scratch, I enabled the features in GitHub to start working with it for every repository in the team, I created all the service accounts, secrets and maps required to start running from GitHub Actions. I implemented the steps and validations from the pipeline to connect from GitHub Actions to GKE(Google Kubernetes Engine) and deploy the new application. To ensure platform observability I build Grafana dashboards to monitor latency and performance issues. I integrate security and code quality into every stage of the pipeline through SonarQube, ShiftLeft, and Invicti for static analysis and vulnerability scanning. I manage the build and deployment lifecycle with Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Gradle, Docker, and jFrog, while also implementing a custom authentication and authorization module (THD-Identity) to secure backend endpoints with bearer tokens for all the application in the ream.

Creation of Frontend and Backend microservices to add new functionalities based on the Omnitracs requirements from the Product Owner. Frontend – Creation of new microservices with Angular Framework as a base, then I added new libraries using the npm tool, to apply CSS styles I use Sass (Syntactically Awesome Style Sheets), additionally we add angular forms, angular material among other tools to achieve the goal. As a CSS Framework I uses Bulma to speed up the release time of the SAP(Single Page Application) application. For testing I use Cypress Automation tool to run End-to-end tests, Integration tests and Unit tests. Backend – Creation of new microservices with SprinBoot Framework as a base, then I added new libraries using the mvn(Maven) tool to manage the dependencies, with maven we create and package the microservice to deploy and run in the infrastructure side. As a repository we use PostgreSQL DB to store and retrieve information. To test the development, I use Cucumber to create Feature files to run against the code and validate if this development was made correctly according to the acceptance criteria. These microservices were deployed in Openshift Cluster using Jenkins Pipelines, to install dependencies, run tests, to run the microservices I used a Kubernetes infrastructure using Docker Images for every microservice, for the Frontend and the Backend.

Analyze and propose optimal solutions to incidents reported on the web portals of https://www.bbva.com.mx/ BBVA for any person and medium sized business. I worked with DevOps tools like Git, BitBucket, Jenkins and SonarQube to development and fix production´s issues, we also use tools like Spring Tool Suite, Java, Html5, CSS3 and JavaScript, besides we have interaction with other areas of the Bank to solve problems presented in productive environments. For the visibility and transparency, we use the Kanban Framework dashboard to show up the work done and the next tasks. For deploying the new changes I used Application Web Servers like Tomcat 7, Tomcat 8 and Pivotal 4.
